Banks that pass both tests let you bring stablecoins in, turn them into a spendable balance and pay with a card, which is the closest thing to living off USDC. Sygnum, AMINA Bank and Swissquote lead at 15 of 16 with Swiss cards, though AMINA's cards come only with the Gold or Platinum package and Sygnum settles in fiat after converting the crypto, while Wirex, Xapo Bank, Revolut and Rebind make up the fintech group: Wirex converts stablecoin top-ups 1:1 with no spread, Xapo turns USDC and USDT into USD on arrival behind a debit card with no FX markup, Revolut converts USD to USDC 1:1 and spends from a crypto balance, and Rebind spends EURe through a virtual Visa issued by Gnosis Pay with no physical card documented. The UAE apps (Wio Bank, RAKBank, Liv) and bunq pass on partials because their stablecoin route is thin, RAKBank being the one of the three that lists a stablecoin (USDT), and Singapore Gulf Bank and Bank Frick score partial on the card since SGB's pages list no card and Bank Frick's Debit Mastercard appears only in its fee schedule. Bitcoin Suisse, Anchorage Digital, BCB Group, SG-FORGE, Zand Bank, ClearBank and DBS fail the card test because they issue no card, Monerium fails it because EURe is spent through partner cards that are separate products, Cross River Bank fails it because it issues cards for partner programmes rather than account holders, and LHV, N26, ruya and Commerzbank fail the stablecoin test because they list no stablecoin at all.
| Bank | Score | Type | Health | P2P | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sygnum | 15/16 | Crypto-native | Solid | none | Yes, but only for qualified investors, companies and institutions. Sygnum does not take retail clients. |
| AMINA Bank | 15/16 | Crypto-native | Solid | none | Yes, but only for professional clients and companies. Individuals need CHF 500,000 in assets plus finance experience, or CHF 2 million. |
| Swissquote | 15/16 | Neobank | Solid | Strict | Yes, with fenced on-chain flows: crypto comes in only from six named exchanges or your own wallet, and never goes out to an exchange. |
| Xapo Bank | 14/16 | Crypto-native | Solid | Unknown | Yes. Bitcoin and stablecoins are the core product, though the bank publishes no policy on transfers to exchanges. |
| Wirex | 14/16 | Neobank | Unknown | Strict | Yes. Crypto moves freely in and out, but the card cannot buy crypto elsewhere and the old app lost its crypto features in the EEA on 30 June 2026. |
| Bank Frick | 13/16 | Crypto-native | Solid | none | Yes for crypto businesses, intermediaries and wealthy private clients. No walk-in retail. |
| Revolut | 13/16 | Neobank | Watch | Mixed | Yes for individuals, with the deepest crypto stack of any app-bank. No for crypto businesses. |
| Bunq | 12/16 | Neobank | Watch | Mixed | Yes for retail through the Kraken-powered bunq Crypto tab, and for licensed CASPs on a fiat-only business account. Coins cannot leave the app. |
| Rebind | 11/16 | Neobank | Watch | Unknown | Yes for euro transfers through a personal Monerium IBAN, but Rebind is an app, not a bank, and it never names exchanges. |
| PostFinance | 9/16 | Traditional | Solid | Mixed | Yes. PostFinance sells, holds and stakes crypto in its own app, but only for Swiss residents and with no way to move coins to your own wallet. |
| BBVA | 9/16 | Traditional | Solid | Mixed | Yes. BBVA sells and holds bitcoin and ether inside its own app in Spain, Switzerland and Türkiye, but the Spanish service is a closed loop and moving coins out costs 4%. |
| Cross River Bank | 8/16 | Business banking | Watch | none | Yes for crypto businesses and fintech partners, which is who the bank is built for. Individuals can bank here too, but get no crypto features. |
| RAKBank | 8/16 | Traditional | Solid | none | Yes. Crypto trading is built into the app, but it is a closed loop run by Bitpanda, and exchange transfer rules are not published. |
| Luzerner Kantonalbank | 7/16 | Traditional | Solid | none | Yes. Crypto trading, custody and wallet transfers are built into the bank's own e-banking, for Swiss residents. |
| Deutsche Bank | 6/16 | Traditional | Watch | none | Yes for crypto businesses and institutions, not yet for individuals. |

Wirex is the purest version: stablecoin top-ups become a USD or EUR balance 1:1 with no spread, then you spend on a Mastercard in the EEA or a Visa in the UK and most of Asia Pacific, with cashback of 0.5% to 8%. Xapo Bank accepts USDC on Ethereum or Solana and USDT on Ethereum or Tron, credits USD, and its debit card spends with no FX markup and up to 1% cashback in Bitcoin. Rebind holds EURe, EURC, USDC or USDT in DeFi money markets and spends EURe through a virtual Visa, but it is an app, not a bank, and its terms warn of capital loss. Revolut goes the other way, turning USD into USDC at 1:1 and spending from a chosen crypto balance.
Yes. Revolut's crypto card is free as a virtual card, Wirex issues its card to individuals in the EEA, UK and most of Asia Pacific, RAKBank includes a free Titanium Debit Mastercard with its current account for UAE residents, and Liv delivers a free Visa debit card after sign-up. The Swiss leaders cost more: Sygnum and AMINA Bank take only qualified or professional clients, AMINA's Gold card package costs CHF 480 a year and Platinum CHF 1,000 a month, and Xapo Bank membership costs USD 1,000 a year. Swissquote sits in between, with debit Mastercards on its Light, Bright and Elite tiers for ordinary retail customers.
