Stablecoin off-ramp plus card is the everyday combination: money arrives as USDC or USDT and leaves on a card. It removes every institutional provider on the UK list, since BCB Group has no card of any kind, ClearBank issues no cards and Standard Chartered has no crypto card, and it removes LHV, which has a fee-free UK debit card but takes no stablecoins. The three that remain all score 2 on both tests and all open to UK individuals. Wirex converts stablecoin top-ups 1:1 into USD or EUR and spends them on a UK Visa with cashback of 0.5% to 8%, Revolut converts USD to USDC at 1:1 and its crypto card spends straight from a crypto balance, and Xapo Bank converts USDC and USDT to USD and issues a Visa debit card with no FX markup and up to 1% Bitcoin cashback, though UK residents cannot make USD transactions there.
| Bank | Score | Type | Health | P2P | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Xapo Bank | 14/16 | Crypto-native | Solid | Unknown | Yes. Bitcoin and stablecoins are the core product, though the bank publishes no policy on transfers to exchanges. |
| Wirex | 14/16 | Neobank | Unknown | Strict | Yes. Crypto moves freely in and out, but the card cannot buy crypto elsewhere and the old app lost its crypto features in the EEA on 30 June 2026. |
| Revolut | 13/16 | Neobank | Watch | Mixed | Yes for individuals, with the deepest crypto stack of any app-bank. No for crypto businesses. |

Revolut's crypto card is free as a virtual card and works with Apple Pay and Google Pay, and USD converts to USDC at 1:1 with no spread. Wirex converts stablecoin top-ups with no spread, takes deposits free and charges only the network fee on on-chain sends. Xapo Bank is the expensive one at USD 1,000 a year in membership, offset by no FX markup and up to 1% cashback in Bitcoin.
Not on crypto. Revolut has no FSCS cover on crypto balances, Wirex has no FSCS or deposit protection on fiat or crypto, and Xapo Bank's data lists no compensation scheme either way. Revolut has held a full UK banking licence since March 2026, but that does not extend to its crypto holdings, and on account closure it sells your crypto at the rate of the day rather than returning coins.
