Nine banks give a crypto company an account and a card, and most of them are Swiss or fintech. Sygnum, AMINA Bank and Swissquote lead at 15 of 16 (Sygnum with Visa and Mastercard credit cards settled from crypto or fiat, AMINA with Gold or Platinum cards through Viseca, Swissquote with a debit Mastercard and a business offer aimed at SMEs rather than crypto firms), Xapo Bank and Wirex follow at 14, and Singapore Gulf Bank, Bank Frick, LHV and bunq pass on partials: SGB's pages list no card, Bank Frick's Debit Mastercard appears only in its fee schedule, LHV's cards cannot spend the crypto bought at the bank, and bunq's CASP business account is fiat only. Bitcoin Suisse, Anchorage Digital, BCB Group, SG-FORGE, ClearBank, Standard Chartered, DBS and Custodia Bank fail the card test because they issue no card, Zand Bank and Cross River Bank fail it because they only sponsor or issue card programmes for other fintechs, Monerium fails it because EURe is spent through partner cards, and Mercury scores no on the card test despite issuing debit and IO credit cards, which spend fiat from an account that cannot hold crypto. On the business side, Revolut fails because it bans crypto firms and its business accounts cannot send or receive crypto, Rebind fails because it publishes no business product, and the UAE and Swiss retail apps (Wio Bank, ruya, RAKBank, Liv, PostFinance, the cantonal banks) fail because they offer nothing for crypto companies.
| Bank | Score | Type | Health | P2P | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sygnum | 15/16 | Crypto-native | Solid | none | Yes, but only for qualified investors, companies and institutions. Sygnum does not take retail clients. |
| AMINA Bank | 15/16 | Crypto-native | Solid | none | Yes, but only for professional clients and companies. Individuals need CHF 500,000 in assets plus finance experience, or CHF 2 million. |
| Swissquote | 15/16 | Neobank | Solid | Strict | Yes, with fenced on-chain flows: crypto comes in only from six named exchanges or your own wallet, and never goes out to an exchange. |
| Xapo Bank | 14/16 | Crypto-native | Solid | Unknown | Yes. Bitcoin and stablecoins are the core product, though the bank publishes no policy on transfers to exchanges. |
| Wirex | 14/16 | Neobank | Unknown | Strict | Yes. Crypto moves freely in and out, but the card cannot buy crypto elsewhere and the old app lost its crypto features in the EEA on 30 June 2026. |
| Bank Frick | 13/16 | Crypto-native | Solid | none | Yes for crypto businesses, intermediaries and wealthy private clients. No walk-in retail. |
| Bunq | 12/16 | Neobank | Watch | Mixed | Yes for retail through the Kraken-powered bunq Crypto tab, and for licensed CASPs on a fiat-only business account. Coins cannot leave the app. |
| LHV | 9/16 | Business banking | Solid | Relaxed | Yes. Crypto trading is built into the Estonian app, and the UK arm banks Coinbase and Bitstamp, but coins cannot leave the bank. |
| Cross River Bank | 8/16 | Business banking | Watch | none | Yes for crypto businesses and fintech partners, which is who the bank is built for. Individuals can bank here too, but get no crypto features. |
| RAKBank | 8/16 | Traditional | Solid | none | Yes. Crypto trading is built into the app, but it is a closed loop run by Bitpanda, and exchange transfer rules are not published. |
| Deutsche Bank | 6/16 | Traditional | Watch | none | Yes for crypto businesses and institutions, not yet for individuals. |
| Commerzbank | 4/16 | Traditional | Watch | none | Yes for large German corporate clients, no for individuals. |
| Mercury | 4/16 | Business banking | Watch | none | Partly. Crypto startups, DAOs and funds get accounts and can wire to exchanges, but Mercury bans exchanges and MSBs and lists buying or selling crypto through the account as grounds for closure. |

Sygnum gives DLT companies, foundations and Web3 startups CHF, EUR and USD accounts plus Visa and Mastercard credit cards that settle from crypto or fiat holdings. AMINA Bank banks Web3 startups, miners, exchanges and funds, with a zero-fee startup package, and its Gold and Platinum cards come with the CHF 480 a year or CHF 1,000 a month packages. Wirex Business serves Web3 companies and fintechs alongside its Mastercard and Visa cards. Xapo Bank opens accounts for businesses and exchanges with a debit card, though institutional accounts cannot pay suppliers or run payroll, since every transfer must match the entity's own name.
Partly, at a few of them. Swissquote's debit Mastercard settles purchases by selling Bitcoin, Ethereum or XRP from the holdings, and Swissquote offers business accounts with custody, trading and staking. Sygnum's cards settle from crypto or fiat holdings, but the Viseca card pays merchants in fiat after conversion, so you are not paying in crypto. At LHV the answer is no: crypto bought at the bank cannot pay for goods or services, and its cards are ordinary Estonian and UK debit cards. Xapo's card spends USD and pays cashback in Bitcoin rather than spending Bitcoin.
