Which banks in the EU offer exchange transfers and custody?

This page is for someone who trades on an exchange but wants a bank to hold coins as well. Nine providers pass, and none scores full on both: Wirex, LHV and BCB Group are full on exchange transfers with partial custody, Revolut, BBVA and SG-FORGE are full on custody with partial exchange transfers, and Bunq, Santander · Openbank and Raiffeisen NÖ-Wien are partial on both. Worth knowing before you pick: at LHV, Bunq, BBVA Spain, Openbank and Raiffeisen the exchange link is fiat only, since none of them accepts crypto deposits from outside. Monerium and Rebind fail custody because they never hold your assets, and N26, Deutsche Bank and Commerzbank fail exchange transfers because they publish no rule on them.

Questions people ask

Can I move coins from Kraken into an EU bank that will hold them?

Wirex takes crypto deposits from any exchange address on a network it supports. Revolut takes deposits from Coinbase, Binance, Kraken, Bitstamp and eToro, but not from Bitfinex, Bittrex or Roqqu. LHV, Bunq, BBVA Spain, Santander · Openbank and Raiffeisen NÖ-Wien accept no inbound crypto, so the only thing you can send them from Kraken is euros. BCB Group holds balances for business clients only.

Which of these banks let me take the coins out again?

Wirex sends USDC, USDT and EURC on-chain for the network fee, and Revolut sends to external wallets unless it links the address to an unsupported exchange. BBVA and Santander · Openbank will return coins to another EU custodian in your name for 4% of the euro value, Openbank as a full position within 15 business days and BBVA within about seven days by user reports. LHV, Bunq and Raiffeisen NÖ-Wien offer no way out except selling.
