Which banks in the EU offer exchange transfers?

Passing this test means the provider states, or demonstrates, that money can move between your account and a crypto exchange. Wirex, LHV, Monerium and BCB Group score full: Wirex takes crypto from any exchange address and runs SEPA both ways, LHV's UK arm banks Coinbase and Bitstamp, Monerium accepts SEPA from any bank while banning P2P platforms, and BCB settles directly with exchanges. The partial scores each carry a catch: Revolut lists some exchanges as unsupported recipients, Bunq's risk engine can block payments it flags, BBVA customers report occasional blocks when paying Coinbase, SG-FORGE reaches individuals through exchanges rather than accounts, Santander · Openbank's rules vary by country, Raiffeisen NÖ-Wien publishes no policy in a market where banks stop such inbound payments, and Rebind never names exchanges. N26, Deutsche Bank and Commerzbank fail because none of them publishes a rule on transfers to or from exchanges, and at N26 nothing moves in or out at all.

Questions people ask

Which EU banks say outright that money to and from a crypto exchange is fine?

Wirex, LHV, Monerium and BCB Group are the four with a clear yes. Wirex takes crypto deposits from any exchange address it supports and SEPA in and out, and LHV treats euro transfers to fund a purchase or take out proceeds as ordinary payments. Monerium is fine with exchanges but its terms forbid using the IBAN for coins bought or sold on centralised P2P platforms. BCB Group only serves businesses.

Can I send euros from BBVA or Openbank to Kraken or Coinbase?

Mostly, with caveats. SEPA transfers from a Spanish BBVA account to MiCA-authorised exchanges are reported to go through as ordinary payments, but some customers report individual card or transfer blocks and the Bank of Spain says banks may block on AML grounds. Santander says it does not restrict fiat arriving from an exchange, but Santander UK caps outgoing payments to exchanges at 1,000 pounds per transaction and has blocked Binance since 2021, and Openbank's stance varies by country.
