Which banks in the EU offer Web3 business accounts and custody?

A company that wants its bank to hold its coins has seven options in the EU, none scoring full on both tests. Wirex, LHV and BCB Group are full on business accounts with partial custody, holding balances as part of trading and payments rather than as a custody product. SG-FORGE, Deutsche Bank and Commerzbank are the reverse, full on custody with a partial on accounts: SG-FORGE custodies under a French MiCA CASP authorisation for institutions, Commerzbank custodies bitcoin and ether for German corporates with at least 500,000 euros, and Deutsche Bank's Taurus-based custody has a launch reported for 2026. Bunq is partial on both, as it takes licensed CASPs on a fiat-only account and holds no crypto for business clients. Revolut, N26, BBVA, Santander · Openbank and Raiffeisen NÖ-Wien fail on business accounts, Monerium fails on custody, and Rebind fails both.

Questions people ask

Which EU bank offers institutional crypto custody today?

Commerzbank is live for existing corporate clients seated in Germany, holding bitcoin and ether on its own infrastructure, segregated per client, with a 500,000 euro minimum built up within twelve months. SG-FORGE offers custody and administration of crypto-assets under its French MiCA authorisation. Deutsche Bank's custody is still in development on Taurus and Bitpanda Technology Solutions, with launch reported for 2026.

Can a company buy and hold crypto through LHV?

Yes. Companies can buy the 15 crypto assets LHV offers inside the bank, and they need an LEI code to do so. The coins cannot be transferred out to a wallet or exchange, so leaving means selling inside the bank, and stablecoins are not among the assets. LHV's dedicated banking for crypto firms runs through its UK arm.
