A card on this page means one issued by the bank that sits next to your crypto holdings, and ideally settles from them. Sygnum and AMINA Bank both issue Visa and Mastercard credit cards through Viseca, with Sygnum settling balances from crypto or fiat after conversion, and AMINA reserving cards for its Gold (CHF 480 a year) and Platinum packages. Swissquote's Debit Mastercard can pay for purchases by selling Bitcoin, Ethereum or XRP from your account, and it is the one option here open to ordinary retail customers. Bank Frick passes partially: a Debit Mastercard or Maestro card appears in its fee schedule, but nothing links it to crypto balances. Five parent-list banks fail. Bitcoin Suisse has no card of any kind, PostFinance's debit card is a plain bank card with crypto locked in a custody account, BBVA has no crypto-linked card, and Zürcher Kantonalbank and Luzerner Kantonalbank both bar card payments with crypto held at the bank.
| Bank | Score | Type | Health | P2P | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sygnum | 15/16 | Crypto-native | Solid | none | Yes, but only for qualified investors, companies and institutions. Sygnum does not take retail clients. |
| AMINA Bank | 15/16 | Crypto-native | Solid | none | Yes, but only for professional clients and companies. Individuals need CHF 500,000 in assets plus finance experience, or CHF 2 million. |
| Swissquote | 15/16 | Neobank | Solid | Strict | Yes, with fenced on-chain flows: crypto comes in only from six named exchanges or your own wallet, and never goes out to an exchange. |
| Bank Frick | 13/16 | Crypto-native | Solid | none | Yes for crypto businesses, intermediaries and wealthy private clients. No walk-in retail. |
| PostFinance | 9/16 | Traditional | Solid | Mixed | Yes. PostFinance sells, holds and stakes crypto in its own app, but only for Swiss residents and with no way to move coins to your own wallet. |
| BBVA | 9/16 | Traditional | Solid | Mixed | Yes. BBVA sells and holds bitcoin and ether inside its own app in Spain, Switzerland and Türkiye, but the Spanish service is a closed loop and moving coins out costs 4%. |
| Luzerner Kantonalbank | 7/16 | Traditional | Solid | none | Yes. Crypto trading, custody and wallet transfers are built into the bank's own e-banking, for Swiss residents. |
| Zürcher Kantonalbank | 6/16 | Traditional | Solid | none | Yes for buying and holding crypto inside the bank, but nothing moves in or out. |

Swissquote's Debit Mastercard, available as Light, Bright or Elite, settles purchases by selling Bitcoin, Ethereum or XRP from your holdings. Sygnum's Viseca credit card can also settle from crypto, though the coins are converted to fiat first and merchants are never paid in crypto. Both are a step ahead of PostFinance and the cantonal banks, where crypto cannot be used for payments at all.
No. AMINA's Gold and Platinum cards on Visa or Mastercard come bundled with the Gold package at CHF 480 a year or the Platinum package at CHF 1,000 a month. The free Silver package has no card. You also need to qualify as a professional client to open an AMINA account in the first place.
