  • Fiat transfers between a Zand account and a CoinMENA FZE wallet, the one exchange integration Zand has announced

Questions about Zand Bank

Can I open a personal account at Zand Bank?

No. Zand banks companies and institutions only. Its general terms cover business accounts and the stablecoin service settles into a corporate current account. The bank said in 2022 that personal banking would come later, but as of September 2026 it has not launched.

Does Zand Bank let me send money to a crypto exchange?

Zand has one announced exchange link. Since August 2025 clients can move fiat between a Zand account and a CoinMENA FZE wallet, with conversion into crypto and stablecoins on the exchange side. Zand also banks licensed VASPs and exchanges directly. Nothing on the site addresses transfers to Kraken or Coinbase, so ask before you rely on it.

Can I convert USDC or USDT to dirhams at Zand?

Yes, if you are a business client. ZandMint buys, sells and redeems AEDZ, USDT and USDC against your AED current account, and converts between them. Pricing includes a spread set by the bank and there is no published rate card.

Does Zand Bank hold crypto for clients?

Yes, for institutional and qualified investors under a Dubai VARA custody licence granted in December 2024. Supported assets include BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, XLM and USDC, USDT and RLUSD on Ethereum. Keys sit in onshore UAE hardware security modules and each client gets segregated wallets. Fees are tiered and quoted privately.
