Questions about Wio Bank

Can I buy crypto in the Wio app?

Yes. Wio Invest, inside the Wio Personal app, lets UAE residents buy and sell crypto from their AED account. Trades are executed by Fuze, a Dubai VARA-licensed broker-dealer. The fee is 0.5% of the order amount and only market orders and recurring buys are supported.

Does Wio Bank let me send money to Binance or Kraken?

Wio does not publish a policy on transfers to crypto exchanges. Its Key Fact Statement allows local and international transfers up to AED 300,000 or AED 500,000 a day depending on plan, and says the bank can restrict an account if use breaches its compliance policy. Whether a transfer to an exchange goes through is not stated anywhere on wio.io.

Can I withdraw crypto from Wio to my own wallet?

Nothing Wio publishes offers crypto withdrawals. The product is described as buying and selling crypto with your AED account, and the brokerage terms do not mention virtual assets at all. Treat it as a closed loop unless the app says otherwise.

Will Wio Business open an account for my crypto company?

Wio Business is aimed at UAE SMEs and freelancers. Third-party onboarding guides say non-custodial Web3 and blockchain technology firms can get accounts with a clear business model and full KYC and AML documents, while firms that look like exchanges or VASPs are rejected. Wio does not publish its own list of accepted industries.
